Noah Lyles and his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, are ready to run down the aisle.

Lyles, 27, announced via Instagram on Sunday, October 13, that he proposed to Bromfield, 26, after two years of dating. “To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever ,” he captioned a video of the romantic milestone.

The clip showed the couple walking hand in hand to find an elaborate setup that included flower petals, candles and a heart-shaped sign that read “Will you marry me?” Lyles proceeded to get down on one knee while wearing a sleek black suit with gold accents. Bromfield, who donned a sparkly silver dress, kissed her soon-to-be husband after saying yes.

Bromfield shared a separate video of herself celebrating with her friends and showing off her new ring. “ENGAGED,” she gushed.

Olympians Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s Relationship Timeline

The Olympic athletes initially connected via social media in 2017 and formed a friendship before their relationship became romantic. The twosome went Instagram official in December 2022 and have continued to support one another on and off the track. (Bromfield previously earned a bronze medal representing Jamaica at the Tokyo Olympics, while Lyles won a gold and bronze medal for Team USA at the Paris Olympics this summer.)

“We have that mental space to be able to share with each other and continuously feed to each other,” Lyles exclusively told Us Weekly in July while discussing training with his now-fiancée ahead of the Paris Games.

He added, “Knowing that anybody’s here at any moment I need them and always giving encouraging words, it’s very important. It’s very nice to have.”

Following the competition in France, Lyles spoke out against the hateful comments sent toward Bromfield during the Games. “I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of my GF and give her the flowers she deserves now . She has been through so much in her life that I could never imagine fighting through,” he wrote via Instagram in August. “Beyond that she is a survivor, 2x Olympian, Olympic medalists, Multi world championship medalist, and has been representing Jamaica on the world stage since she was 8 years old.”

Lyles went on to praise Bromfield for “how she’s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country,” adding, “This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in. But she keeps moving forward knowing that God will always make a way. That’s why God keeps blessing her!”

In the comments section, Bromfield thanked her partner for “always supporting [me] long before we even started dating.”

Earlier this year, the couple opened up about what initially drew them toward one another. “When we became friends, I told him that I liked him because of [his] brutal honesty,” Bromfield said on the “Inside Track” podcast in March, referring to her romance with Lyles as her “best relationship ever.”

Bromfield’s appreciation for his authentic personality was a big green flag for Lyles. “I already liked you, but that’s a solidified answer of like, ‘OK, we’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever, and it’s going to be constant,’” he said. “Hearing things like that is like, ‘Yeah, I’d want a woman like that to raise my kids.’”
