Kelly Stafford Theorizes the ‘Ghost of J. Lo’ Is Haunting Her L.A. Home

This spooky season, Kelly Stafford joked that she’s being visited by a very A-list spirit.

During the Thursday, October 31 episode of her “The Morning After” podcast, Kelly and cohost Hank Winchester discussed whether or not they believe in ghosts.

“Yes, I do,” Kelly said. “They’re everywhere. You have to believe in some eternal being, right?”

In fact, Kelly said her family’s personal chef has noticed the presence of some ghouly guests recently.

“I’m pretty sure Chef Chris thinks there’s a ghost in this house,” Kelly said.

When Winchester posited that the ghost could be that of Jennifer Lopez — who previously owned the Los Angeles property that Kelly shares with husband Matthew Stafford and their four daughters, 6-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, 6, Hunter, 5, and Tyler, 3 — Kelly couldn’t help but play along.

“Yes, the ghost of J. Lo!” she said. “Fantastic.”

In December 2023, Kelly and Matthew, 36, purchased their sprawling Hidden Hills estate for $28.3 million. The sale set the neighborhood’s previous record of $23 million, according to Realtor.com

The Staffords previously bought an adjoining property in 2022 for $10.5 million, per the outlet, which includes a 1980s, red-brick house and vineyard.

Having secured both properties, the family now owns a 3-acre compound with two homes and two swimming pools valued at nearly $40 million, according to the Robb Report.

In 2022, Matthew signed a four-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams for $160 million.

Lopez, 55, lived on the Staffords’ current property from 2010 to 2017 where she built a nine bedroom, 13 bathroom mansion. The home also included a movie theater, bar and recording studio. Lopez sold the property for $10 million.

After Lopez left, a designer came in to split the property and designed two spec houses. The Staffords live in one, with the other currently on the market for $40 million.

The Staffords have owned at least five houses in ritzy Hidden Hills, according to Realtor.com. In April 2022, they purchased two homes from Drake for $11 million, which was nearly $4 million above asking price at the time.

Matthew and Kelly also sold a home in Hidden HIlls for $21 million in 2022.

Hidden Hills has a highly-condensed celebrity population, including being the current or former home of Stafford’s teammates Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald and Rams head coach Sean McVay
