Hilary Duff and husband Matthew Koma’s relationship is what dreams are made of.
The former Lizzie McGuire star and the musician, who met while collaborating on her 2015 album Breathe In. Breathe Out, got married in December 2019. They continue to prove they are just like Us.
“I will always choose sandwiches and 8 p.m. bedtimes over fancy date nights …. over and over again,” Duff wrote via Instagram on the first anniversary of their engagement. “My best friend, lover, and papa bear that can not be rivaled… it’s always been you.”
Duff and Koma share three daughters Banks, born in 2018, Mae, born in 2021, and Townes, born in 2024. (Duff also shares son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie.)
The couple’s romance has continued to get stronger through the years.
“Neither of them had as many work commitments and could reconnect,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2023 of their hiatus amid the SAG-AFTRA strikes. “They really got to know each other all over again and spend a ton of time together as a family.”

The pair hit it off in 2015 — one year after Duff split from ex-husband Mike Comrie, with whom she shares son Luca — while collaborating on the Lizzie McGuire alum’s album Breathe In. Breathe Out. “They had great chemistry in the studio,” a source close to Duff told Us at the time. “Hilary thinks Matt is very talented and cute.”

The couple married in a low-key wedding in the backyard of their Los Angeles home on December 21, 2019, in front of a small group of family and friends.
