Ezra Sosa certainly has a special friendship with his former Dancing With the Stars partner, Anna Delvey.
While chatting exclusively with Us at the Us Weekly + Pluto TV Reality Stars of the Year Party at the Dream Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 10, Sosa, 23, revealed what made Delvey, 33, react with the “most emotion” she’s ever shown him: his “nothing” tattoo.
“She said, ‘Oh wow,’ with an exclamation point, which is probably like the most emotion she’s ever shown me, which is great,” he told Us. “And then I said, ‘Do you like it?’ And she says, ‘It’s too late not to.’” And then I said, ‘You like it?’ And she goes, ‘I do.’ So I was like, okay. It’s proof.”
After Sosa and Delvey were the first to be eliminated from season 33 of DWTS, Delvey caused an uproar after cohost Julianne Hough asked her what she was going to take away from the experience of being on the show, to which she replied, “Nothing.” She was also previously criticized for not “embracing” the experience and told she needed to put “a bit more energy” into her performances.

As for being the first pair eliminated this season – and on Sosa’s first season, no less – the DWTS pro told Us that it was “really hard” for him to “process everything at first.”
“I did get eliminated first, so it was really hard to wrap my head around that,” he explained. “And a lot of, you know, being paired with her, I think there was a lot of negativity surrounding that whole situation and I was right next to her. So it’s challenging, just processing all that. It’s been really hard, and I think getting a tattoo is the only way to cope with it.”
In addition to reflecting on their DWTS experience, Sosa went on to share more details about his relationship with the controversial figure, telling Us all about their recent text message exchange.
“Yesterday she said, ‘Do you miss me?’ And then I said, ‘Probably not as much as I miss you,’” he recalled, hilariously adding, “And then she didn’t respond. We still love her for it. Her love language is being a little diva.”
Delvey’s casting on the long-running dance competition series ruffled feathers this season due in large part to her criminal past.
In 2017, Delvey was arrested in connection with a string of cons, including posing as a heiress, forging bank statements and more. In 2019, she was found guilty of eight theft-related charges, including grand larceny, second-degree larceny and theft of services. Delvey was sentenced to four to 12 years, ultimately serving close to four before she was released in February 2021.
