On your mark, get set to look back at Danica Patrick’s dating history.
The former NASCAR racer has never shied away from talking about her love life and all its complications. “I think we learn the most about ourselves through relationships,” she explained during a 2021 guest appearance on Running Wild With Bear Grylls. “But there’s nothing like heartbreak to really throw you in the deep end of that.”
The Wisconsin native has had her heart broken more than a few times over her lifetime, but she’s never given up on love. Instead, she’s taken a live-and-learn approach to her relationships. “You know, the idea that you’re going to change someone is a pipe dream,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2021. “Like, it’s just … someone has to want to change for themselves.”
While she admitted to Us that “relationships are not easy,” her enlightened outlook on love comes from “knowing herself” better and also understanding what she wants in a partner.
“It’s not necessarily that they have their work cut out for him but that they’re going to be an extremely high-quality person with a lot of boxes to check,” she told Tamron Hall in March 2021. “It’s not as though there are boxes to check, it’s just that I know what I want now and I’m not willing to compromise [or] bend as much.”

Shortly before their December 2017 breakup, Patrick expressed her desire to get married and have kids with the race car driver. “The relationship has really evolved into this really comfortable space where we’re … just really happy,” she said in the 2017 EPIX documentary titled Danica. “It’s really straightforward and simple. And we don’t argue.”

Aaron Rodgers
Us confirmed Patrick’s relationship with the NFL player in January 2018 after months of speculation that the two, who had met in 2012 at the ESPY Awards, were dating. In September of that same year, the Pretty Intense author told Us that she could always count on Rodgers to have her back. “You can rely on yourself or you can also rely on those closest to you that are honest. Not people that want to tell you what you want to hear, but people that are gonna tell you what you need to hear and be honest with you,” she said. The two went their separate ways in July 2020. Prior to their split, a source told Us that it “was tough for her to be in a relationship with somebody who’s not close to his family, but she was there for him no matter what.”Patrick talked about the breakup on a 2021 episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls, saying she had “learned a lot and as broken open as I was on the sad end, I have felt so much joy in so many more instances and so many more unlikely places than I ever have, so it’s like my heart got broken open to both ends of the spectrum.”

Patrick went Instagram official with the cofounder of the meal-prep company Freshly in April 2021, less than one year after her split from Rodgers. “Beach workouts are fun for one, but better with you,” she captioned the sweet selfie.
That same month, a source told Us exclusively that the pair “were set up” by the cofounders of Beam, a direct-to-consumer wellness brand that both Patrick and Comstock are investors in. “They took their relationship slow for four months and decided to be exclusive in April,” the insider adds. “She’s very happy.”The former NASCAR driver said Comstock fulfilled her “grand vision” of what she wants in a partner. “I just always imagined how great it would be to find someone to sit on the couch and talk with for hours, and that’s just what we do,” she told Extra in April 2021.
