Move over thigh guy summer — hot rodent man fall has officially arrived.

According to a flier posted in various spots in New York City, a Timothee Chalamet look alike contest is set to take place in Washington Square Park on October 27, local publication Secret NYC reports.

A post featuring a picture of the flier went viral on X in late September. In the photo, the flier featured a QR code that directs would-be Chalamat’s and other so-called “hot rodent men” to a Partiful event, hosted by user Gilbert.

According to the Partiful link, the event will take place at 1:00 pm by the Washington Square Park arch. The event also boasts a $50 cash prize for the most Chalamet-looking contestant. At the time of publication, more than 1,200 people have RSVP’d “yes” to the event, and another 446 have said they’re “maybe” going to attend.

“May have to fly back to NYC for this watch this space,” one excited X user posted, along with a picture of the flier featuring the actor’s face.

“I’m actually very tempted to go on a two day trip there just for this since the flight was less than $200 round trip and I don’t mind being awake for 48 hours straight,” another responded to the now-viral post.

“I’m adding this to my cal,” another assumed Chalamet fan wrote.

As Secret NYC noted, the event is sure to bring out New York City’s “hot rodent men,” AKA gentlemen who are considered to be conventionally attractive yet bear an uncanny resemblance to a mouse, rat or other rodentia-type animal.

For the uninitiated, some of Hollywood’s most beloved “hot rodent men” include Chalamet, Saltburn star Barry Keoghan, Challengers actor Mike Faist and The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White.

Back in 2018, Hot Summer Nights director Elijah Bynum opened up about his decision to cast Chalamet in the 2014 film and the unexpected outcome of the actor’s eventual fame.

“I thought he was gonna be a big actor one day,” Bynum told HuffPost at the time. “What I don’t think anyone expected was he was going to become this kind of international sex symbol that came out of nowhere.”

As a result of the viral post highlighting the look alike contest, some fans of the Wonka actor are hoping Chalamet himself will show up to host the event. As Secret NYC notes, Chalamet has been recently spotted in New York City shooting his latest film, Marty Supreme.
