Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum can be consummate professionals on the set of the upcoming movie Alpha Gang despite ending their engagement, a source tells Us Weekly.
“They thrive while being on set together and will be able to get through it,” a source close to Tatum, 44, exclusively tells Us. “Both of them are very professional and there is no bad blood between them. Film is their passion, so it could bring them back together.”
News broke earlier this month that Tatum and Kravitz, 35, had ended their engagement with a second source telling Us that their relationship “fizzled out” after their loved-up Blink Twice press tour in August.
The two actors, who got engaged in fall 2023, met on the set of Blink Twice while filming in 2021. The movie served as Kravitz’s directorial debut.
What to Know About Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz’s ‘Alpha Gang’ So Far
“To get to create something with someone that you love is probably one of the most gratifying things, other than having a kid with somebody, I think,” Tatum told People at the August 8 movie premiere. “You truly are creating something from nothing and it’s just like creating a marriage.”
He added, “Everything that we are is going into this thing and you want to make it with people that you love.”
Kravitz, for her part, told the outlet that the creative process brought their relationship “closer.”
“There’s so much trust there,” she said at the time. “We got to work together and go through hard things together and support each other, and it was beautiful.”
Neither Tatum nor Kravitz have publicly addressed their recent breakup.
Hours before it was revealed that the pair called off their engagement, Deadline reported that Tatum and Kravitz had both been cast in brothers Ethan and David Zellner’s Alpha Gang — an action and comedy film about a group of alien invaders sent to conquer Earth while disguised as a 1950s biker gang.

Tatum and Kravitz were cast alongside Cate Blanchett, who is an executive producer on the project, as well as stars Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Riley Keough and Léa Seydoux.
“These stellar new recruits are a powerhouse of comedic talent, adding even more excitement to this eagerly awaited film,” Fionnuala Jamison, the managing director of production company mk2 Films, said in an October statement. “This cast, just like the story and its filmmakers, is out of this world.”
Tatum subtly celebrated his casting by sharing a screenshot of Deadline’s report on his Instagram Story.
Before his relationship with Kravitz, the Magic Mike star was married to Jenna Dewan from 2009 to 2018. Tatum and Dewan, 43, were declared legally single in 2019 and formally finalized the proceedings earlier this fall following a financial dispute. They share 11-year-old daughter Everly.
Kravitz, for her part, was previously married to Karl Glusman.
